Bio-inspired SYSTEMS LAB
Since 2009, we are having quite some activity on the biologically inspired robots. Our work focusses on mecatronics development, control and on the use of smart materials for bio-mimetic actuation.
We are developing three concepts for water, air and ground robots. The Robotic fish iTuna is aimed at the study of deformable structures and alternative actuation technology. The Robotic snake is aimed at efficient locomotion and distributed control. Finally, the Robotic bat (BaTboT) is aimed at the study of morphing wings

A bio-mimetic device by Leonardo da VInci... is there something this guy hasn’t imagined ?
